Sean's mom is the best!!!! She helped us get our beans in the Willett Community Garden!!! We can't wait to watch them take off.
Our class did a phenomenal job today at the performance!!! You could tell that they practiced all year.
Notes are due today. I only have one student still working on theirs.
We are working on the report in class starting today. You should be working on your poster board at home. There is a sample of the setup on a previous post on my website. The timeline that you need for the poster board is being completed in class and will be sent home with your child once it is complete. Posters and costumes should be ready by June 3 so that we can present them the following week at the library. Email me with any questions. Thank you! I was done with May... but the students asked for one more!!! Please return by Tuesday, May 24th! Thanks. 😊
We have been spending our afternoons researching and taking notes on the historical figures that we chose. In order to maximize our resources, our class has combined with Mrs. Slater's class.
The good news is that we have made significant progress and should finish our notes this week. I encourage you to look at what your child has completed and help them add to their research if necessary. Next week, we will begin to work on the report. *Reminder: You need to complete the trifold poster at your house. If you don't know how it should be set up, see my previous post. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to email me. Here is a copy of the packet in case yours is misplaced or you want another copy to reference. The poster board is to be completed at home as well as the costume. Most of the other work will be completed in class.
On Friday, we planted our seeds that will be some part of the Willett Garden. Grade 3 is doing "The Three Sisters" since we learn about Native American culture.
We pulled for chaperones from a hat for our Freedom Trail field trip. Since we had 12 volunteers and only 3 spots, I decided to take 2 more. The five chaperones picked are: Mrs. Singer, Mrs. Kettell, Mrs. Bessell, Mrs. Cochrane, and Mr. Bennett.
Thank you to all for volunteering! |
