We did a fun math project related to "Jack and the Beanstalk". Students measured themselves (Jack) and then doubled their measurements to get the height of their giant. Working in groups, the class actually made their giants. They really enjoyed this project!
I am still waiting to hear about a few CORI's before I pull names for chaperones. We had many volunteers. I will keep you updated.
Everyone in the class meet their goal... again!!!!! I couldn't be more proud! :)
Today we had a visit from the mad scientist, Ballistic Bruce. We did lots of fun activities with electricity and even go a fun activity to take home. Thank you to the PTO for sponsoring this event!
Chaperone forms are due tomorrow. I just want to let you know that we have many applicants, so we will be using a lottery system.
Any chaperone must have an updated CORI with the office. Thank you. Students created the night sky in our classroom. Using a hole punch and black paper, each child made the constellation that represents their astrological symbol.
One day left of Math MCAS! Thank you to Mrs. Coates and Mrs. Swintak for the sweet treat and well wishes. :)
We worked with Mrs. Coates to make these creations. Students worked in groups of 4 to design and build their monsters. Before assembling, each group estimated the mass of each object and then weighed their objects. This was a very fun project!
