Accelerated Reader- Goals need to be met in January, which seems far away but will be here before we know it. Please make sure your child is reading and taking tests. I will be sending home an update soon to let you know how your child is doing. At this time, nine students have met their goal, seven are halfway, and eight are not halfway yet.
Bring Your Own Device- We are well underway with this program. Yesterday, Mr. Cateon came in to see us use Kahoot! and Google Forms. He was very impressed with the student's ability to use technology appropriately and complimented them on their hard work.
Book orders were sent home yesterday and should be returned by December 6, 2016. If you want to order online, our code is GNZ3M.
I admittedly have been behind on updating our website. I have lots of great pictures and hope to update by the end of the week!
Please remember that weekly charts come home on Friday. They should be signed and returned by Monday. This week, 11 students did not bring theirs back.
This week we have a student from Bridgewater State University in our classroom to teach the math lessons. Her name is Ms. Fortin, if you hear your child mention her.
Bring Your Own Device has officially started! The first week we focused on just bringing in our devices and bringing them home. In the next few weeks, we will start our integration. These should come in daily.
I am sending home a Highlights order form today. Please sign and return whether or not you decide to order. For every form returned, regardless of yes or no, we get prizes for our classroom.
Student Council kicked off the annual Food Drive yesterday. Please send in non-perishable items for the food pantry.
Reminder: My first District Writing Committee day is on Monday, November 21st.
Yesterday we learned about onomatopoeia and practiced a catchy tune to learn how to spell it. It goes to old Macdonald. We will keep practicing. Pretty soon, your child will be able to spell it independently!
