Reminder: Materials for Metric Monsters are due by tomorrow. 
We have been studying fables for the past two weeks. Students have been relating the morals to their own lives. We have also been using this unit as a way to study plays. Students have been writing scripts based on different fables and acting then out in front of the class. 
Update: We now have 7 goal hitters!!!! I'm so proud.
Ask your child how they are doing towards reaching their goal. We are two weeks into our AR contest. As of right now, we already have 4 goal hitters!!! Congratulations to those students. Please continue to encourage your child to read and test. :)
I had the pleasure of visiting the Boston Tea Party Museum with my family a few weeks ago. Since it related to want we have been studying, I wanted to share my experience! 
Today we practiced writing short computer programs to learn the basics of programming. Students organized "code" to get the angry birds to perform specific tasks. They did such a great job! If you would like to see the program we used, go to code.org. Students can access this at home as well.
